Eclectic Quest - Biography

Glenn Nielsen and Allison Anderson began playing together as a duo in December 2017, performing locally in Fort Saskatchewan and area.

Glenn Nielsen began playing guitar at 14 years old and immediately joined his first band, which eventually toured the bar scene in BC and Alberta. Glenn obtained his music instruction degree, LLCM(TD), from the London College of Music and taught full-time. He relocated to the Edmonton area in 2011 and continues to run a thriving music instruction business. Glenn was the lead guitarist for classic rock bands, Generation Gap and Pushing Ginger. With a renewed focus on playing acoustic guitar, Glenn plays lead for Eclectic Quest and provides harmony vocals.

Allison Anderson began music study at the age of 6, taking piano and voice for many years. She has experience in community musical theatre and earned her Interim Certificate in Music (Voice) from Grant MacEwan College, where she studied jazz and contemporary song. She also trained in classical art song with opera tenor, Lary Benson and studied piano with Michael Rose at Alberta College. Other more recent study includes voice with Anna Beaumont and guitar, bass, and drums with Glenn Nielsen. Previously in the band Generation Gap, Allison is lead vocalist for Eclectic Quest.

Eclectic Quest provides acoustic arrangements of familiar music from a mix of genres - rock, pop, contemporary, jazz and blues.
